Best Game Selection At Pennsylvania’s Online Casinos
Pennsylvania’s online casino industry debuted in July 2019. The first year of the new industry saw no less than 10 different mobile casinos launch in the state.
With the industry still in its infancy, Pennsylvania’s online casinos don’t yet offer the same number of games as some of the online casinos operating in New Jersey. Many of New Jersey’s mobile casinos offer several hundred different games, as legal online casino gaming launched in 2013 in the state.
Most of Pennsylvania’s online casinos offer around 100 games each, with game libraries expanding every month. Like other retail and online casinos, slots dominate the catalogs of each Pennsylvania mobile casino.
Number Of Casino Games Offered
Parx Casino leads the pack in terms of the overall number of games. Powered by a catalog of more than 100 slot variants, Parx Online Casino is living up to the reputation of its parent company. Parx Casino is the biggest and highest-earning retail casino in Pennsylvania.
The other mobile casino platforms available to Pennsylvania players aren’t far behind with their game selections.
Hollywood Casino, Unibet Casino, and SugarHouse Online Casino all have a similar number of games available. Unibet Casino has the biggest video poker selection, while PokerStars Casino tops the field in the number of table games offered.

Divine Fortune
Much like in the New Jersey online casino industry, the Divine Fortune progressive slot finds a home on multiple platforms in the Pennsylvania market.
Divine Fortune resides at Hollywood Casino, SugarHouse Online Casino, FanDuel Casino, Unibet Casino, and others. The slot’s progressive grand prize, the Mega Jackpot, can yield jackpots of $375,000 or more.
Mercy Of The Gods
The progressive slot sequel to Divine Fortune, Mercy of the Gods offers big jackpots up into six-figure totals. Like Divine Fortune, Mercy of the Gods offers these grand prizes at several online casinos in Pennsylvania.

Online casino gaming offers Pennsylvania players the ease and convenience of playing, depositing, and withdrawing from any mobile device or desktop. Many of the games enjoyed by players on a physical casino floor are found on these legal casino apps.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) regulates all of Pennsylvania’s online casinos, like their retail counterparts.

Some of the biggest players in Pennsylvania’s online casino industry include DraftKings Casino (operated in partnership with Penn National Hollywood Casino), SugarHouse Casino (Rivers Casino), and FanDuel Casino (Valley Forge Casino Resort).
The PGCB breakdown of overall revenue from the state’s online casinos can be read here.
Pennsylvania’s Biggest Online Casinos By Earnings
Rivers Philadelphia emerged as Pennsylvania’s top revenue-earning operator in the early months of the industry’s launch but has since been topped by Penn National Hollywood Casino (DraftKings Casino, Hollywood Casino, BetMGM).
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reports online casino revenue by operator, making it impossible to know how each of the Penn National Hollywood Casino or Rivers Philadelphia skins performs individually. The combined revenue of DraftKings Casino, Hollywood Casino, and BetMGM, however, puts Penn National Hollywood Casino in the lead in terms of revenue by operator.
The latest reports show that in June 2020, the operator brought in nearly $35 million in online casino revenue. It leads the market by nearly $10 million.
Rivers Casino Pennsylvania, while no longer the frontrunner, brings in substantial revenue to the state. It brought in $23,336,153 in revenue for June 2021.
As a license partner of Valley Forge Casino Resort, FanDuel Casino continues to make an impact. June saw the platform bring in $14,953,787, making it the third-highest online casino revenue earner for the period.

Pennsylvania’s History Of Online Gaming
Pennsylvania put big plans for gambling expansion in motion in October 2017. Governor Tom Wolf signed House Bill 271 into law. The bill laid out the legislature’s plans for Pennsylvania to potentially become one of the biggest online gambling economies in the US.
House Bill 271 legalized sports betting (both land-based and online), online casinos, and online poker. It also formally legalized Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS).
Pennsylvania is one of five states (along with New Jersey, Delaware, Michigan, and West Virginia) to legalize all three verticals of online sports betting, casinos, and poker. As of November 2020, Michigan is the only one still awaiting launch, though it’s expected to go live in early 2021.
Overturning PASPA
The state legislation for online sports betting went into place in October 2017, with one hurdle still left to clear. That final obstacle was overcome in May 2018, when PASPA (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act) was overturned.
PASPA, originally put into law in 1992, was a federal ban on sports wagering. With the exception of Nevada and sports lotteries in a handful of other states, PASPA mandated that sports betting was illegal in the US.
In May 2018, however, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that PASPA was unconstitutional. This gave states the power to legalize sports betting on an individual basis.
The Launch Of PA Online Gambling
The first of Pennsylvania’s online sportsbooks went live in May 2019, when PlaySugarHouse Pennsylvania launched. Pennsylvania bettors now have several different mobile sports betting platforms to choose from.
November 4, 2019, was a landmark day in the history of online poker in the US, as PokerStars PA debuted. PokerStars PA is the first US online poker network to launch outside of Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Pennsylvania’s Live Gambling Industry History
Of the 50 states, Pennsylvania is second in casino revenue, trailing only Nevada. Legalized horse racing started in Pennsylvania in 1959. And the PA State Lottery started operations in 1971.
In 2004, the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act established legal casino gambling in the state.
The legislation allowed for legalized slot machines at five of the state’s racetracks. It also permitted the development of five stand-alone casinos and two resort casinos. The state legalized table games in 2010.
The state’s 12 land-based commercial casinos brought in $3.4 billion in revenue in 2019, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
State legislators introduced a plan for massive gambling expansion in the state with House Bill 217. This bill, passed in October 2017, legalized online casinos, sports betting (both live and online), and online poker. It also officially legalized Daily Fantasy Sports.

The origins of Pennsylvania’s land-based casinos go back to the state’s long-standing horse racing industry.
The 2004 Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act authorized seven of the state’s horse racing venues to install slot machines. It also authorized licenses for up to five more stand-alone casinos and two resort casinos.
From those original expansion plans, the Pennsylvania gaming industry evolved into the current 12 land-based casinos.
The Pennsylvania Casinos
Parx Casino is one of the largest and most popular casino in the state. Located just northeast of Philadelphia in Bensalem Township, Parx Casino was one of the original seven horse racing venues to expand into casino gaming after the state passed the 2004 legislation.
Then known as Philadelphia Park Racetrack and Casino, the property grew into the state’s highest-earning casino property, with $639 million in revenue in 2019.
Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., owns Parx Casino. Wind Creek Hospitality owns Wind Creek Bethlehem, the state’s second highest-earning property. The Poarch Band of Creek Indians operates Wind Creek.
Rush Street is the parent company to Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, in addition to two additional Rivers Casino properties outside of Pennsylvania.
Gaming and Leisure Properties is another company operating multiple Pennsylvania casinos. They operate Meadows Racetrack and Casino and Hollywood Casino. Caesars Entertainment is another player in the PA casino industry. They operate Harrah’s Philadelphia.
Due to PGCB regulations, a maximum of 14 land-based casinos can operate within the state.
Legal Pennsylvania Online Casinos Versus Illegal Online Casinos
As one of just a handful of states with legal online casinos, Pennsylvania offers access to a growing number of mobile gambling platforms. Each of these casinos expands its game libraries every month, which allows Pennsylvania players to enjoy the best of mobile casino gaming.
State-Regulated And Secure Online Casinos
Pennsylvania’s land-based casinos own all of the state’s online casinos, in partnership with approved technology partners. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) oversees and regulates all of the state’s online gambling sites.
The PGCB, a government agency, also regulates Pennsylvania’s retail casino industry. Playing on a legal, state-regulated online casino platform in Pennsylvania ensures the same level of safety as playing at one of the state’s retail casinos.
Legal retail and online casinos in Pennsylvania operate with a vested interest in providing fair games and prompt payouts. These platforms also provide the highest level of encryption to protect personal information.
Risks From Offshore Gambling Sites
Offshore gambling sites can’t guarantee this same level of fairness, transparency, and personal protection. Playing from Pennsylvania on any gambling site not regulated by the PGCB doesn’t have the same oversight as the state’s legal casinos.
Offshore gambling sites in the US are also operating illegally, possibly exposing players to criminal penalties.

Bottom Line
Caesars Casino online in Michigan is ideal for players who also visit the Caesars Entertainment properties across the US. Caesars Rewards applies to both online betting and in-person casino play at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Caesars Atlantic City, and many Harrah’s, Isle, Horseshoe, and other casino locations.
The online version is on its way to matching the overall quality of the brick-and-mortar locations. However, it doesn’t quite reach the level of some of its other Vegas-famous competitors like BetMGM and Golden Nugget, which have better bonus offers and far more games.
Still, the Caesars Rewards program and the selection of high-quality games, which include some of the most popular options, makes Caesars Casino Michigan worth joining. It also offers a competitive sportsbook for those who like both sports betting and casino gaming.

Caesars Casino Bonus & Promotional Grade
Caesars Casino online in Michigan has a lackluster welcome bonus. New players can play risk-free up to $200 back on net losses with the promo code SHARPCZR. That sounds good compared to a brick-and-mortar casino, but it pales in comparison to other online casino offers.
For example, here are some of the other welcome bonuses at Michigan online casinos:
- WynnBET Michigan: 100% up to $1,000 + 200 free spins on Divine Fortune slot
- FanDuel Casino Michigan: Risk-free 24 hours up to $1,000
- BetMGM Michigan: 100% deposit bonus up to $1,000
- BetRivers Michigan: 100% deposit bonus up to $250 (with 1x playthrough)
Compared to other options in the state, Caesars Casino surprisingly offers one of the worst welcome bonuses. Caesars Casino Michigan is clearly relying on its extremely strong name recognition rather than trying to appeal to players through a welcome bonus.
All online casino offers come with terms and conditions, including Caesars Casino. It’s important to read them before participating so you know exactly what to expect before you opt-in.
For example, the BetRivers Michigan welcome bonus has a 1x playthrough for slots play, which means you only have to bet the bonus and deposit once before making a withdrawal. Usually, welcome bonuses and other online casino offers have a 5x playthrough or more.

Caesars Casino Market Depth and Variety Grade
While Caesars Casino in New Jersey and Pennsylvania offer hundreds of games, Caesars Casino online in Michigan launched in August 2021 with around 30 slots, a few digital card and table games, and live dealer games.
That should satisfy most online casino players while Caesars Casino Michigan rolls out additional options. But, for now, it has a fraction of what’s offered at some of its top competitors, including the hundreds offered at BetMGM Michigan.
The slots offered include some of the most popular choices, such as:
- Divine Fortune
- Gonzo’s Quest
- Starburst
- Mercy of the Gods
- Blood Suckers 1 & 2
- Narcos Video Slot
- Jumanji Video Slot
For digital table games, Caesars Casino Michigan offers blackjack, casino Hold’em poker, baccarat, American roulette, and European roulette. For live dealer games, Caesars offers blackjack, roulette, and baccarat.
You can also find a great selection of live dealer games. This is where real-life dealers live stream from physical tables, and you can bet with them in real time. Caesars Live Dealer options include casino poker, baccarat, blackjack, and more.
Most options at Caesars Casino Michigan apply to the risk-free first 24 hours. However, some games may be exempt, which is why it’s important to read the T&Cs.
Caesars Casino Deposit and Cashout
When you go to a brick-and-mortar Caesars Casino, you’ll have to do all your gambling in cash. But if at Caesars online, you can play using all major forms of payments.
To make a deposit into your Caesars Online Casino in Michigan, you can use the following options:
- ACH/Electronic check
- Credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx)
- Online bank transfer
- PayPal
- Caesars Play+ prepaid card
- PayNearMe locations (such as CVS or 7Eleven)
You can use any of these methods for standard deposits or to take advantage of a deposit bonus.
When you make a deposit at Caesars Online, the funds should be instantly available in your account. If it takes more than a couple of minutes, contact support.
To make a withdrawal at Caesars, you’ll need to send a request. The approval could be anywhere from instant to 48 hours. If you used any bonus credits, make sure you met the playthrough requirements before making a request. However, the worst that will happen is that the cashout will be denied until the bonus is rolled over.
The cashout options at Caesars Online in Michigan include:
- ACH/Electronic check
- Caesars Prepaid Card
- NETELLER (e-wallet)
- PayPal
If you deposited with PayPal, you must withdraw using PayPal too. Otherwise, you can choose any of the above.
Caesars Casino Mobile App
The Caesars Sportsbook app, which houses all the Caesars Casino games, is a top-rated option in the App Store and Google Play. It sits among some of the best casino apps in Michigan, with a rating above 4 stars from thousands of players. That’s about as good as you can expect, as many players will leave a poor review because they didn’t win. The games are all verified fair by the Michigan Gaming Control Board, so you can’t blame a casino for a player’s lack of luck.
Still, an online casino with a star rating below 4.0 raises red flags, and some online casinos have rating even lower than 3.0 stars. Also, the more players that review your online casino app, the better the indication that the sum of all reviews reflect reality. When only a couple dozen people leave a review, it’s tough to really get a sense of how players are feeling.
Sure, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino app doesn’t have the same star rating level as DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM, which all have around 4.8 stars from even more reviews. But Caesars may offer the fourth best online casino app in Michigan, which is nothing to scoff at. Players can expect excellent reliability and stability.
Overall Score
Caesars Casino Michigan is second to none in terms of brand recognition, player trust, and loyalty rewards. The higher you climb up the Caesars Rewards ladder, the bigger your weekly, monthly, and yearly freebets and other benefits become.
However, right now, Caesars Casino isn’t as impressive as most online casinos in Michigan. For example, BetMGM has mover than 10x the number of games and a far better welcome bonus.
We expect Caesars to grow in the Wolverine State as time goes on, particularly when we look at Caesars Casino PA and NJ, which has hundreds of gaming options. But, in the meantime, Caesars Casino Michigan is a 4.25 out of 5 star online betting platform for the time being, especially with such a low welcome bonus.
Is Caesars Online Casino In Michigan Legit?
Regulated By The Michigan Gaming Control Board
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) is an extremely strict oversight body with the goal of protecting Michigan gamblers. This extends to both brick-and-mortar and online betting, it applies to the casino, sportsbook, poker sites, and the lottery. With the MGCB in your corner, you can play with confidence knowing that everything is legit and above board.
Independently Audited For Fairness
Part of MGCB’s regulations include independent auditing to verify fairness. This means that the casino has to prove their random number generators (RNG) are truly random, and that the odds reflect the advertised chance of winning or losing.
If it’s a roulette variation, it needs to have the same return to player (RTP) as the real-life version. Slots need to have the advertised RTP, and so on. Each game needs to be approved by the MGCB before it’s available on the Caesars site as well.
Backed By A Renowned Brand Name
It doesn’t get more legit than Caesars when it comes to casino gaming. It is arguably the most well-known betting brand in the US, meaning its reputation is on the line each and every time someone visits the site. As such, offering illegitimate games wouldn’t make sense for their bottom line.
Clear Terms And Conditions
It took all of two seconds to find the playthrough requirements for Caesars Online Casino terms and conditions. They don’t hide what’s expected in the fine print to get people to opt-in without knowing what they’re agreeing to. That’s a level of transparency that exemplifies the company’s legitimacy.
Extremely Accessible Customer Support
At any time day or night, you can get in touch with a Caesars Online Casino representative through online chat. It’s not a bot, it’s a real person with personalized and helpful answers, including on the weekend and holidays.
Why Choose Caesars Michigan Casino Over Illegal Betting Sites?
Illegal Sites Are Unregulated By US Entities
Illegal sites are based in jurisdictions where you can launch illegal betting websites. That alone is a concerning fact.
Basically, offshore casinos are under incredibly lenient regulations, and they’re free to take gambling money from anyone, anywhere. They don’t need to verify anyone’s identity or prove the fairness of their games. They can claim to have the strongest security without proving it.
Illegal sites just do not have the same standards of safety and legality that legal sites adhere to, and that’s an extremely concerning red flag for players in Michigan (or anywhere else).
Breaking Michigan Law
It’s unlikely that you’ll be penalized by law enforcement if you play at an illegal online casino. The same is true for downloading movies illegally. But you might get in trouble for it, and the consequences are serious.
In Michigan, illegal gambling can result in a $1,000 fine and a year in prison. That’s a life-ruining possibility. Again, this is unlikely, but why risk it if you’re in one of the few states with legal online casinos?
Hidden Terms And Conditions
Online Casino Promotions No Deposit Bonus
Caesars Online Casino in Michigan has rollover requirements just like any other online casino. Offshore sites have rollover requirements too. But instead of being listed at the top in clear words, it’s hidden in the fine print.
Worse yet, they’ll have rollover requirements at 35x to 50x for slots, and the table games will be even worse – if applicable at all.
This is the most common way for these companies to withhold your winnings.
No Recourse For Player Disputes
If the illegal online casino refuses to pay, you can post a complaint on a review site. And that’s about it. There’s no MGCB equivalent with offshore casino sites, so if they refuse to pay, you’re out your winnings.
Why Can You Trust Caesars Casino Online In Michigan With Your Money?
Caesars Michigan Online Casino utilizes state-of-the-art security and encryption that’s verifiable on their website. To see the exact SSL encryption details, visit the website and click the lock icon in your web browser. You can see their security certificate, and their privacy policy further details the security implemented in their mobile apps.
Caesars also utilizes security questions and the last four digits of your social security number to ensure that they can verify your identity. If your account is compromised, you can let them know and have all transactions canceled by providing these unique identifiers.
If you’re still concerned, Caesars Online also offers “Strong Authentication.” When this is enabled, there are two barriers to get into your account.
The first barrier is your standard login details, then you receive a new, four digital passcode sent directly to your mobile device via text message. You then type in the code to gain access to your account. This happens each time you log in, which can be a bit tiring, but it makes it nearly impossible for anyone else to access your account.
Of course, Caesars (and any legitimate e-commerce site) will tell you that there’s no way to 100% ensure zero security breaches. But this is as secure as it gets.
